I was born in Sumter County, SC. One of seven children of Ellie Green and Jessie Campbell Green.
At an early age, I began to draw, and loved to create things. There was no opportunity for me to take art lessons while in school. I graduated from high school, and then business school. I busied my life with family and work. In the early 70's, I became interested in learning to paint. A lady, in Summerville, SC (where I lived), had an art class. I went to her class and began to paint. My teacher became ill, and could no longer teach. My painting fell by the wayside as well.
In the early 90's I began to paint again. I painted for a few years and lost interest. In 2008, a friend asked me to go paint with her. This renewed my interest in painting and I continue to paint regularly.
